We had some snow in these here parts recently. We drove out into the nearby mountains (a 35 minute drive) to see some. And eat some. There wasn't much to begin with and there wasn't much left by the time we got our gear together (the toboggan - yes, we took the toboggan just in case). But it was an absolutely beautiful warm day and the mountains and bush are stunning.
We even managed to build a snowman!
Saskia saw snow for the first time. And Sassykah ate quite a lot of that snow.
Look at all that snow!!
We'll go again, rest assured. Maybe up into the real mountains.

These mountains aren't too far from us. Have I told you I was born near these mountains? I, too, could have been an Olympic snowboarder. If I had applied myself. And worked hard. And had a goal. Ha!!
We used to ski a lot when I was young, as you can imagine, but the idea of skiing now is, for many reasons, laughable. Old bones, moulah, the expense, moulah etc.
I've bought a new doll's's house. This is the third dolls'ss' house we've brought home in the last year.
This was the first.
I did this to it and then gave up and put it in the hard rubbish.
Then I found this one at the tip shop a couple of months ago and it's about to return from whence it did cometh. (It is very heavy.)
But the latest discovery from the ope shope is perfect and I am committed. (See? Determination, goal setting, hard work...)
Mod Podge madness - begin!

Ah, yes, the dolls house decoration- MMMC's other languishing career. I found one and decorated it and hope to never do it again. See now you have a goal and hard work ahead of you. If only it were an Olympic event, you'd be roit!
It's like a Winter Wonderland!
I'm glad you'll do a dolls' house. Finally. I think they key is you have to like the house. Sounds like you like this one. So now's your chance to shine!
Need any wallpaper?
I shall enjoy seeing this design unfold, I'm new to doll houses! I missed out as a child and fear I wouldn't share the decorating task very well either!
Great to see you applying your work ethic to dollhouse makeovers and not olympic snowboarding- much more blog friendly. I had that treehouse as a kid, it was THE BEST toy in the world until my mother gave it away. melx
Snow! In Australia! I hate snow! In Canada!
We've a heavy old dolls house too. My solution was to put wheels on the bottom, and use one side as a book shelf. It's been surprisingly successful. But my daughter really wants one of those little tree houses, like in your first photo!
so cute project!
